HUMIDIFIER ALARMS
The alarms described below can be split into “signal only” alarms and alarms causing humidifier shut-down.
NO WATER (signal only)
Signalled by a flashing “FILL” LED when the loading solenoid-valve stays open for more
than 20 minutes and no current flow is recorded.
This can be due to lack of water in the mains or by a faulty loading solenoid-valve.
DAIN MALFUNCTION (signal only)
Signalled by a flashing “DRAIN” LED when the drain solenoid-valve stays activated for
more than 2 minutes, without the water falling sufficiently.
This can be caused by an obstructed drain unit, a faulty or obstructed loading solenoid-
valve, or by a conductive lime scale “bridge” in the cylinder.
CYLINDER EXHAUSTED (signal only)
Signalled by a flashing “LEVEL” LED when average steam production does not exceed
50% of the quantity set for 72 hours of operation, or when the internal conductivity of water
is too high. Can be caused by too much lime in the cylinder.
ON
NO CURRENT
Signalled by a flashing “ON” LED when the cylinder is full and no current flow is recorded
during 20 minutes of operation. Can be caused by a faulty amperometric transformer,
faulty contactor, or a disconnected phase.
30 50 75 100 %
HIGH CURRENT
Signalled by flashing "30", "50", "75", 100%" potential LEDs when current exceeds the
safety threshold of 170% of nominal value. Can be caused by a leaking loading valve, a
faulty drain valve or by a lime scale “bridge” between the electrodes.
30 50 75 100 %
SIGNAL CONVERSION ERROR
Signalled by flashing "75", 100%" potential LEDs when the readings of the Conductivity,
TAM and regulator input values are off range.
30 50 75 100 %
FAULTY SENSOR
Signalled by flashing "75", 100%" potential LEDs when the sensor signal supplies off
range values. Check configuration of dip-switches and sensor signal.
30 50 75 100 %
CONFIGURATION EEPROM ERROR
Signalled by flashing "30" and “50” potential LEDs. Can be caused by a fault on the
EEPROM of the CDA303 card or by incorrect configuration of dip-switches.
30 50 75 100 %
CONTROL POWER SUPPLY
Signalled by flashing "30" and 100%" potential LEDs when the voltage of the 24Vac circuit
supplying the card drops by 10%.
30 50 75 100 %
SENSORS POWER SUPPLY
Signalled by flashing "30", "50", "75", 100%" potential LEDs when one of the two +/- 12V
voltages drops below 10V. Can be caused by incorrectly connected sensors or by a power
supply overload to the sensors.
If lighted, there is an alarm situation. The type of alarm is signalled by the flashing of one
or more LEDs.
