Installation
Field Installation
Inspecting the Kit
Before installing the BCI-I kit, open the box and verify that the following parts are enclosed:
•
Qty 1 - BCI-I module.
•
Qty 1 Green ground wire
•
Qty 1 - 2 wire harness
•
Qty 1 - 4 wire harness
•
Qty 2 - #6 TYPE A washers (IntelliPak only)
•
Qty 1 - BCI-I Integration Guide ACC-SVP01A-EN
•
Qty 2 - DIN rail end stops
•
Qty 6 - #6-32 x 3/8 inch long mounting screws (IntelliPak) or Qty 2 - #10-32 x 1/2 inch DIN rail
mounting screws (IntelliPak2)
•
Qty 1 - Sheet metal mounting bracket (IntelliPak only)
•
Qty 1 - 7.5 inch DIN rail
Contact the Trane Parts Center nearest your area should there be any damaged or missing
components.
Mounting the Module
Refer to the appropriate figure (

) for the proper
location of the module(s) and screw hole configuration.
BCI-I Module Installation
WARNING
Live Electrical Components!
During installation, testing, servicing and troubleshooting of this product, it may be necessary
to work with live electrical components. Have a qualified licensed electrician or other individual
who has been properly trained in handling live electrical components perform these tasks.
Failure to follow all electrical safety precautions when exposed to live electrical components
could result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Hazardous Voltage!
Disconnect all electric power, including remote disconnects before servicing. Follow proper
lockout/tagout procedures to ensure the power can not be inadvertently energized. Failure to
disconnect power before servicing could result in death or serious injury.
IntelliPak I - Module Installation
1.
Disconnect all power from the Rooftop or Air Handler Unit.
Note:
Units without a Heating module, proceed to
. Disregard references to the Heat Module
within the remaining instructions.
Units with a Heat Module:
2. Remove the four screws securing the top cover plate and the Heat Module to its mounting plate,
if installed.
