Additonal explanation ALU mode
ALUS mode. This mode is used for special rims. Should the ALU rim derogate from existing ALU1,
ALU2 and ALU3 features than you can choose the ALUS mode.
Put on the machine, press the C button and then press the ALU button, the indication lamp from the
ALUS mode will illuminate. Pull the distance meter out to touch the position of FI to measure the AL
value, then press a+ and a- to set the AL value. Touch with the distance meter the position of the FE
to measure the AE value, push b+ and b- to set the AE value. Then press d+ and d- to set the D value
(diameter), press START and put the safety guard down to start the rotation. After the rotation is
done, show the unbalance value, put the weights on the position of FI and FE. You need to mount
and check the weights the same way as described at points 5,6 and 7 from chapter 5.
Self-calibration procedure
Attention: before the first use you need to perform a self-calibration. When you have doubts about
the given values of the unit, you have to directly perform a self-calibration. The 100 gram wheel
weight needs to be very accurate. Preferably use the included 100 gram wheel weight.
Turn on the machine, install a medium large wheel without weights (13“-15“), set a,b and d to the
correct dimensions of the wheel.
Press , until appears, you do this by pushing in the
buttons F and C until the two unbalance indicators constant illuminate then close the protective
cover, if the rotation is completed appears . Add a 100 gram weigth at
12 o’clock on the outside of the wheel in the current position. Rotate again, if the rotation is stopped
appears now place the 100 gram weight on the inside of the rim at 12
o’clock, spin the wheel again. If the display shows the self-calibration is
finished.
