PRESENTATION AND DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT
1. Functioning
The magnetic force generated by the
Neodymium Iron Bore
permanent magnet
lifters is, « activated » or « disactivated » depending on the position of the rotor.
When activated, the magnetic force creates an attraction between the active poles
of the magnet lifter and the load, holding the latter in place.
This attraction force depends on the load (contact surface with active poles and its
thickness) but also on its magnetic performances (iron content) and its surface
quality (creation of an air-gap).
The EN13155:2003 European standard concerning lifting removable equipment
specifies, on its chapter for magnet lifters, the principal requirements of the 98/37/CE
Machine Directive.
Concerning mechanical performances, this standard requires a minimum lifting
capability equal to 3 times the working load limit of the magnet lifter.

3. First use
Before using a magnet lifter, install lever (4) on rotor axle (6). Regarding
magfor
magnet lifter models, two cases exist for the assembly :
Case 1 : screw lever (4) on the threaded hole of rotor axle (6).
Case 2 : put lever (4) on the smooth hole of rotor axle (6) and block it with the screw
delivered.
