Route the cable away from potential interference sources such as ignition wiring, 400Hz
generators, fluorescent lighting and electric motors.

Allow a minimum separation of 300mm (12 inches) from an ADF antenna cable.
Note:
In case an already installed antenna can be further used (old transponder is replaced) and the existing
connector does not fit, it is recommended to replace the connector. Alternatively, an adapter from the
existing connector to a SMA male type connector can be used. But this will add an additional loss of
typical 0.1 – 0.2 dB to the installation which must be considered. If the total loss of 2 dB is exceeded the
cable must be replaced.
Note:
An SMA<->TNC adapter is available from TQ.
