Remote Flame Control
The Profl ame 2 has six (6) fl ame levels. With the fi replace turned on, and
the fl ame level at maximum height, press the down arrow key on the
remote once to reduce the fl ame height by one step until the fl ame is
turned off (Figure 70).
The up arrow key will increase the fl ame height each time it is pressed. If
the up arrow key is pressed while the fi replace is on but the fl ame is off,
the fl ame will come on in the high position. A single “beep” will confi rm
reception of the command.
ROOM THERMOSTAT (Transmitter Operation) If enabled.
The remote control transmitter can operate as a room thermostat. The
thermostat can be set to a desired temperature to control the comfort
level in a room. To activate this function, press the thermostat key
(Figure 62). The LCD display on the remote control transmitter will
change to show that the room thermostat is “ON” and the set tempera-
ture is now displayed (Figure 71). To adjust the set point, press the up or
down arrow keys until the desired set point temperature is displayed on
the LCD screen of the remote control transmitter.

Smart Thermostat (Transmitter Operation) If enabled.
The Smart Thermostat function adjusts the fl ame height in accordance to the difference between the set point
and the room temperatures. As the room temperature gets closer to the set point, the Smart Function will
modulate the fl ame down. If the room temperature is cool, the Smart Function will modulate the fl ame up.
To activate this function, press the THERMOSTAT button (Figure 62) until the word “SMART” appears to the
right of the temperature icon (Figure 72). To adjust the set point, press the up or down arrow buttons until the
desired set point temperature is displayed on the LCD screen of the remote control transmitter (Figure 72 and
Figure 73).
The thermostat key (Figure 62) on the remote handset needs to be held down. Keep it pressed down and
remove one of the three batteries from the remote handset. Simply re-install the battery that was removed
and the feature is activated. Use the same procedure to disable the thermostat function.
