Click on the
Cancel
to close the configuration box.
7.
Uninstall PC Attendant or IP Attendant.
a.
Go to
Control Panel
>
Add/Remove Programs
b.
Uninstall any existing PC Attendant software, Strata IP Attendant Console or Strata PC
Attendant Console.
c.
Choose to completely remove the software
8.
Reboot the computer system.
Restore Database
If this installation was an upgrade the database must be restored now.
1.
Restore database, the new CIX Attendant application is shipped with an enhanced data
backup/restore utility. Select
Start
>
All Programs
>
Strata CIX Attendant
>
Database
Backup and Restore.
Note
On Windows Vista this tool must be run as Administrator.
2.
First connect to the database, either using Windows NT authentication (using your Windows
logon user) or SQL Server authentication. Use the default Windows authentication. Once
connected, the rest of the buttons (Disconnect, Backup and Restore) will be enabled.

Click on browse and browse to the folder where the data backup was saved in and select the
backup file pcatt.bak
4.
Click on Restore button to restore database. When completed click on DONE button.
5.
Launch CIX Attendant and verify that database records are restored by examining user
directory for previous entries.
