Serial Port
This option allows you to set the COM level,

or
COM2
, for the
serial port and PC card slot.
The serial port interrupt request level (IRQ) and
I/O port base address for each COM level is shown below:

This option sets the address for the parallel port. The options are:

Sets the address to 278H.
LPT3 (3BCH)

Sets the address to 3BCH.

Disables the port.
When you select one of the above options, except for
Not used
, a sub-
window similar to the one below appears to let you set the parallel port
mode. Options for this setting are
ECP
(default) and
Std. Bi-Directional
.

Others
Whether or not you need to configure the computer with these options depends
primarily on the kind of software or peripherals you use.
(a)
Power-up Modes
This option lets you choose between AutoResume and boot mode. You can
also set this option using hotkeys. AutoResume is effective with either the
internal LCD or with an external monitor.
Boot
Turns on boot mode. (Default)
Resume
Turns on the AutoResume feature.
