4.16 DSTN FL

CAUTION

:  When you remove the 

FL

, be careful not to let any dust or other foreign

matter enter the display panel components.

Removing the DSTN FL

To remove the FL, follow the steps below.  Refer to figures 4-29 to 4-32.

1.

Turn the computer off.  Disconnect the AC adapter and all external cables con-
nected to the computer.

2.

Remove the battery pack, optional memory module, optional PC card, display
mask,FL inverter board and LCD module as described in sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4,
4.13, 4.14, and 4.15.

3.

Turn the 

LCD module

 over and unbend 

11 latches

 securing the 

LCD module

 to

its frame.

4.

 Remove 

four screws

 securing the LCD module to the frame.
