EMERGENCY OPERATION

It is possible to operate the air conditioner from the Outdoor Unit using switches provided on the
outdoor PCB.
1.
Set dip-switch (DSW01) bits 1 & 2 to ON position.

Apply Short a short across CN28 and CN29 until D08 LED illuminate, remove the short. The
LED will then extinguish and Indoor Unit will start. After a couple of minutes the Outdoor Unit
will start, LEDs D07 and D10 will illuminate.

Short pins CN28 with CN29, LEDs D08 and D10 will extinguish. After Indoor Unit has stopped
D07 will extinguish.
3. Reset DSW01 bits 1 & 2 to OFF position for normal operation.
If the air conditioner develops a fault which stops it from operating normally, it is possible to operate
the air conditions using the dip switches incorporated into the units. In this case, operation of the air
conditioner is controlled by switching on and off the power supply. Details of how to change-over the
units to operate in the emergency mode are shown below:
1. Switch off the power supply to the Outdoor Unit.
2. Change the switch SW04 of indoor PCB to ON in order to start emergency operation
3. On the Outdoor Unit PCB, change the switch settings on dip switch DSW01 as follows:
