After all connections ar
e complete, plug the power cor

in the wall outlet. “AUTO” in the fr
ont panel display flickers. This means that
the curr
ent time is being set automatically (Auto Pr
ogram)
thr
ough the antenna under connection. The setup may take
several minutes. When it normally operates, the curr
ent time is automatically
set and displayed in the fr
ont panel display
.
If “- - - -“ appears, however
, it means that auto time setting
has failed. In that case, set the curr
ent time thr
ough the manual clock
set, as shown in pages 27~28.
Step 6 : Connecting the Power Cord
Dispose of used batteries accor
ding to local envir
on-
mental r
egulations. Do not put them in the house-
hold trash. Install Batteries in the Remote Contr
ol
•
Open the battery cover on the back of the r
emote.
•
Inser
t two AA batteries. Make sur
e that the polarities
(+ and -) ar
e aligned corr
ectly
.

Replace the battery cover
.
If the r
emote does not operate pr
operly:
•
Check the po - of the batteries (Dry-Cell)
•
Check if the batteries ar
e drained.
•
Check if the r
emote sensor is blocked by obstacles.
•
Check if ther
e is any fluor
escent lighting nearby
.
•
Do not expose the r
emote sensor of the r
ecor
der to a
str
ong light sour
ce such as dir
ect sunlight or other illumi-
nation. If you do so, you may not be able to operate the recor
der via the r
emote contr
ol.
Step 7 : Preparing the Remote Control
