Replacing the Tracks
Removing the Tracks
1.
Remove any attachments.
2.
Park the machine on a level surface, ensuring
that 1 segment of the sprocket is not engaged
with the track.

Lower the loader arms.
4.
Shut off the engine and remove the key.
5.
Raise the machine off the ground so that the
bottom of the track is at least 10.2 cm (4 inches)
off the ground. Support the machine using jack
stands.
Note:
Use jack stands rated for your machine.
WARNING
Mechanical or hydraulic jacks may fail to
support the machine and cause serious
injury.
Use jack stands when supporting the
machine.
6.
Remove the locking bolt, spacer, and nut (

Using a 1/2-inch drive ratchet, release the
drive tension by turning the tensioning screw
clockwise (

Remove the segment of the drive sprocket not
engaged with the track.
Important:
If you do not remove the
sprocket segment, it may be difficult to
install a new track without damaging it.

Start the machine and disengage the parking
brake.
10.
Move the traction control forward until a second
segment of the sprocket is not engaged with the
track.
11.
Shut off the engine and remove the key.
