2. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level
(Figure 10). If the oil level is below the

mark on
the dipstick,
slowly
pour oil into the oil fill tube to
raise the oil level to the
Full
mark on the dipstick.
Do not overfill.
(Max. fill: 19 fl oz (0.55 l),
type:
SAE 30 automotive grade oil
with an API service
classification of SL, SM, or higher. SAE 10W30 may
be used if SAE 30 is not readily available.)
3. Install the dipstick securely.
Adjusting the Cutting Height
WARNING
Adjusting the cutting height may bring you into
contact with the moving blade, causing serious
injury.
•
Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts
to stop.
•
Do not put your fingers under the housing when
adjusting the cutting height.
CAUTION
If the engine has been running, the muffler will be
hot and can severely burn you. Keep away from the
hot muffler.
Adjust the cutting height as desired. Set front and rear
wheels to the same height.
Note:
To raise the mower, move both cutting height
levers forward; to lower the mower, move them rearward
(Figure 11).

The cutting height settings are as follows: A =
21 mm; B = 33 mm; C = 50 mm; D = 67 mm; E = 84
mm; and F = 98 mm.
Adjusting the Upper Handle
Height
You may raise or lower the upper handle to a position
comfortable for you.
Note:
You cannot raise the upper handle higher than
the angle of the lower handle.
1. Loosen the upper handle knob (Figure 12).
