Installing the Blower Hinge
Parts needed for this procedure:

Blower hinge
1
Metal template
3 or 4
Bolt (3/8 x 1 inch)
3 or 4
Locknut (3/8 inch)
Procedure
Model 31212
1.
Install the metal template to the mower deck with the
previously removed carriage bolts and nuts using the
existing holes in the mower deck (
).
Note:
Make sure that the carriage bolts and nuts are
tight and that the template is tight against the mower
deck.
2.
Center punch the new mower deck hole locations using
the 4 holes in the template (
3.
Remove the metal template and drill 4 pilot holes (1/8
inch) with a sharp drill bit (
).
4.
Drill 4 holes (13/32 inch) into the pilot holes with a
sharp drill bit (
).

Install the new blower hinge with 4 bolts (3/8 x 1
inch) and 4 locknuts (3/8 inch) using the drilled holes
