Stop the engine and tighten the lock nut to secure
adjustment.
6.
Start the engine and check adjustment. Repeat
adjustment if necessary.
7.
Stop the engine. Remove the jack stands and lower
the machine to the shop floor. Test drive the
machine to be sure it does not creep.

ADJUSTING THE ELECTRIC
CLUTCH (Fig. 38)
The clutch is adjusted to ensure proper engagement and
braking action.
1.
Disengage the PTO switch, set the parking brake,
and turn the ignition key to “OFF” to stop the
engine. Remove the key.
2.
Adjust the clutch by tightening or loosening the
lock nuts on the flange studs.
3.
Check adjustment by inserting a feeler gauge
through the slots next to the studs.
4.
The correct disengaged clearance between the
clutch plates is 0.23-0.30 mm. It will be necessary
to check this clearance at each of the three slots to
ensure the plates are parallel to each other.

CHANGING HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
OIL (Fig. 39–40)
The hydraulic system oil must be changed after every
400 hours of operation or yearly, whichever comes first.
The reservoir has a capacity of 4.7 l.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting units, engage the parking brake, and shut off
the engine.
2.
Clean the area around the hydraulic oil filter and
remove the filter from the filter housing.
3.
Disconnect the tube and hose assembly from the
reservoir and allow the oil to flow into a drain pan.
