You do not need to service any of the components inside this product. Therefore, do not open/disassemble
it. Repair and maintenance work (including opening the product or work on the mains cable) must be done

discolour the plastic surface or damage the lettering. Never clean the product with abrasive detergents,
alcohol, petrol, spirits or other similar liquids.
Wear protective gloves during maintenance and cleaning work to prevent injury from sharp edges or the
blade (8).
a) Maintenance
• Check the blade for wear and damage before and after each use.
• If the blade no longer cuts cleanly or gets caught on the material to be cut, have the blade sharpened by a specialist.
• Spray the blade with a maintenance oil or spray before using the device. This prevents corrosion and keeps the
blade moving smoothly.
b) Cleaning
• Always clean the product and the power cable immediately after use, so that dust and dirt does not harden.
• In particular, keep the safety devices, vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust.
• Remove dirt and foreign bodies from the blade with a brush.
• Thorough cleaning keeps the product in a usable condition so that you can enjoy it for a long period of time. A good
craftsman is careful with his tools!
• Remove dust using a clean long-hair brush and a vacuum cleaner. Dust can also be removed with a small brush
(gentle pressure).
• Use a dry, clean and lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the product.
• Before storing the device, protect the blade with the blade guard (9).
