Be careful not to remove engine stop switch
lanyard from engine accidentally while boat
is running. Sudden stop of engine can cause
loss of steering control. It can also cause
loss of boat speed, possibly leading the
crew(s) and or objects on the boat to be
thrown forward due to inertial force.
