5.1 MACHINE COMPONENTS
The Firewood 3-Point Hitch Branch Logger is a rotor with blades for chopping wood. A
hinged feed hopper moves the wood material into the rotor. Each rotor is designed with 6
blades to generate the small chops of firewood.
The tractor provides rotational power through a PTO shaft on the front of the frame and
hydraulic power for the hydraulic feed hopper.
5.2 MACHINE BREAK-IN
Although there are no operational restrictions on the Branch logger when used for the
first time, it is recommended that the following mechanical items be checked:
A. After operating for 1 hour:
1. Torque all fasteners and hardware.
2. Check condition of rotor bearings.
3. Check the condition and clearance of the twig-breaker, rotor and stationary blades.
