Line powered - no internal battery required
Consists of an integrated circuit driving a piezo-ceramic element
bonded to a large diameter metal disc. A pleasant two-tone calling
signal is emitted alternating between frequencies in the region of 1 . 1
kHz and 1 .25 kHz. At the loudest volume control setting, the
output is at least 80 dBA at one metre. The caller is muted during
dialling and a 'caller mute' wire is available in line cord to mute other
callers and bells when the KT 1 or KT 4 is dialling as a multi-extension
plan installation.
