INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION AND USE
Important Safety Information - Please Read Carefully
- Always isolate from the mains electricity before installing or carrying out any
maintenance to the to the REEF-Fill system.
- Power to the REEF-Fill system must be supplied through a Residual Current Device
(RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA.
- To ensure the top up system functions correctly, the IR sensor, float switch(es) and the pump
must be cleaned regularly to ensure they do not become clogged or covered with debris or
detritus.
- The float switch must always be installed in an upright position with the power cable
pointing downwards. Failure to do so will result in operating problems and water
overflowing from your sump or aquarium.
- The IR sensor must be installed facing downwards, with the cable pointing upwards. Failure
to do so will result in operating problems and water level control issues.
- Pump rating: 12Vdc unless otherwise marked.
- Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is malfunctioning,
or if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.
- This unit is designed to be used indoors and is not suitable for any outdoor
applications.
- Ensure the REEF-Fill System is safely positioned before operating.
- Install the Smart Monitoring System unit outside of the aquarium cabinet when
there is a sump present and away from any area where it may get splashed with
water.
- Always leave a drip-loop in the cables to prevent water running down the cable
and reaching the power source and controller (see below).
- Dispose of this unit responsibly. Check with your local authority for disposal
information.
