Fast playback
The stereo cassette drive also has a fast playback facility. The
playback is faster than normal, but still clearly audible.
Press
the
F.F/CUE
or the
REW/REV
button while the
PLAY
button
is down (the buttons cannot be pressed right down in this function).
Release the
F.F/CUE
or
REW/REV
button again to allow the
normal playback operation to continue.
Regulating the tape speed (PITCH)
Sometimes it is necessary to slow down or accelerate the tape speed
i.e. the playback of music or language on the tape. e.g. in dance
classes or during language training. This can be done with the
PITCH
control.
Turn
the
PITCH
control to the left to slow down the tape speed.
Turn
the
PITCH
control to the right to accelerate the tape speed.
Turn
the
PITCH
control to 0 to set the tape to normal speed.

OPEN/CLOSE (Opening and closing the CD drive)
Press the
OPEN/CLOSE
button to open the CD drive. Put the CD into
the CD drive with the print side up. Press the
OPEN/CLOSE
button
again to close the CD drive. The CD starts to turn automatically. As
soon as the total number of tracks on the CD is displayed, the CD
player is ready. If the
PLAY
button is pressed instead of the
OPEN/CLOSE
when the CD is put into the machine, the CD drive is
automatically closed and the playback starts with the first track.
