AUTO-Takeoff
Now that you are familiar with your
AERO-107
,
it’s time for your first flight.
You must be a Proficient R/C Pilot!!
!
Step 1: Plan and Load a Basic Take-off /RTL mission.
Step 2: Preflight the
AERO-107
Note:
The Takeoff WP will initiate when the
AERO-107
is in AUTO Mode and the ground speed is above 3
m/s
which suggest the
AERO-107
is being launched.
Step 3: Change Flight Mode from FBWA to ATUO, verify that the Elevator is in Full-Up position
Step 4: To Hand-Launch pick the
AERO-107
up and hold it, fully prepared to launch. One hand is placed on the
bottom of the fuselage to guide the throw. The other hand is the launching hand. The launching hand is placed
on the tail, with the index finger on the back of the tail.
Note:
Never put body parts near the propeller when the battery is plugged in!

Step 5: With the wind at the nose of the plane! Start running when motor starts, the launcher throws
the
AERO-107
firmly at an angle of about 15 degrees. The
AERO-107
will climb to planned altitude
50m (150’). Then it will proceed to waypoint 2 (Return-to-Launch) and will circle at 50m (150’). Let the
AERO-107
circle for at least 3-4 full circles to calibrate its Airspeed Sensor.
Step 6: Then you can switch Flight Mode to FBWA and get familiar with the
AERO-107
. Then set the
AERO-107
up for a Manual Landing (you must be proficient as an R/C Pilot).
Note:
At any time you get disoriented or want a break change Flight Mode to RTL and the
AERO-107
will Return_to_Launch location and circle, a waiting for you to go back to FBW_A
