User Preferences
These parameters are adjustable and are intended to be set to match the customer preferences.
If customer preference is not specified then the default settings may be left as-is.
Show Metric
– Change this according to customer preference (1 = Metric Units Display, 0 = Imperial Units
Display).
Default = 0, show Imperial Units (Degrees F, PSI, etc).
Language
–
Change this according to customer preference (English, Chinese, French, Spanish, German,
Turkish, Romanian, Japanese or Russian). The language selection may be changed by the operator
without using the magnet, in V2.82 and later versions. If the customer prefers the language to be fixed so
that it is not easily changed by the operator, set the option “Lock Language” to ON, see below.
Default = English
Langiage Lock
– Set to Off or On. If the customer prefers the language to be fixed so that it is not able to
be easily changed by the operator, set the option “Lock Language” to ON.
Default = Off, language may be changed from front panel without opening the unit.
Idle Timer Seconds
– Sets the maximum time, in seconds, that the ground power unit will spend idling
before automatically shutting down to conserve fuel. Should be long enough to allow sufficient time from
engine start-up to connection to aircraft.
This may be set to “0” to disable this feature.
Default = 300 Seconds (5 minutes)
Lowload Timer Secs
– Sets the maximum time, in seconds, that the ground power unit can spend
producing an amount of AC or DC Current below the user-adjustable threshold (See Lowload Timer
Amps). Once this time limit is reached, the output will be deactivated and the engine will return to idle
speed to conserve fuel. Set this to “0” to disable this feature.
Default = 0300 Seconds (5 minutes)
Lowload Timer Amps
– Sets the minimum amount of current, in Amps, produced on each of the outputs
(400 Hz AC or
28.5VDC) to prevent the output from deactivating. The allowable time spent below the output threshold is
set by Lowload Timer Secs
.
This may be set to “0” to disable this feature. Minimum setting is 4 Amps,
Maximum setting 25 Amps.
Default = 5 Amps
Low Fuel Option
– Selects the low fuel option based on customer preference. 00 = none, 01 = ramp
down, 02 = shutdown. Default = 0, no Low Fuel Rampdown or Shutdown
Low Fuel % Warning
– Sets the percentage of full fuel level at which the low fuel warning beacon and
on-screen warning is triggered.
Default = 15%
Low Fuel % Stop
– Sets the percentage of full fuel level at which the low fuel shut down (or ramp down)
beacon and flashing fuel gauge icon is triggered.
Default = 5%
DC Amps Limit
– Sets the initial current limit for the 28.5VDC output, if fitted.
This menu setting is the initial value auto selected every time the 28VDC output is activated.
The DC Amps Limit can be easily changed by the operator to suit the required limit for the aircraft.
It may be set to the value most commonly used by the customer, if specified.
Default = 1500 Amps
