#1 Output Load Contactor Operating Circuit (cont.)
PROBLEM
CAUSE
REMEDY
2. The #1 400Hz contactor opens
during power delivery and the
engine shuts down.
A. The GCM is displaying
“ENGINE FAULT SHUTDOWN”
A. A severe engine fault has
occurred. Determine what fault the
on-screen code is indicating.
Correct the engine fault. Refer to
chapter 5 to troubleshoot engine
problems. Contact the engine
manufacturer or TLD if necessary.
B. Low fuel shut down has
occurred.
B. This is a normal operation for
units equipped with a low fuel
shutdown. Add fuel to the GPU
before continuing use.
C. Idle timer shutdown has
occurred.
C. This is normal operation on all
units. The GPU will shut down
after 60 seconds of idling to save
fuel. Refer to Problem 5F in the
Engine Controls troubleshooting
section on what causes the
engine to idle during power
delivery.
