One-touch Snapshot
The TANDBERG 8000's intelligent One-touch Snapshot button makes it easy to send and
receive an image of the highest possible resolution.
•
If calling to a dual monitor system the still image will appear on the dual monitor.
•
A preview of the still image is possible (set-up in the presentation setting).
•
To send a snapshot inside a MultiSite call a snapshot can be sent to all other participants from
the site that holds the floor.
•
If the far end supports H.263+ custom formats, snapshot can be sent in VGA, SVGA or
4xSIF.
•
If the far end does not support H.263+ custom formats, snapshot will be sent in 4xCIF.
•
It is possible to configure the system to always send snapshots from a particular video input,
but requesting a snapshot from another system will always display the current image (i.e. the
far end image seen on screen).
Snapshot is implemented according to the ITU standard H.261 Annex D.
By using the Selfview button one may toggle between the last sent/received snapshot and the
self-view picture (shown on the dual monitor). It is also possible to view a still image on single-
monitor systems.
4.4.13
Screen Saver
If the system is not in a call, a text string will be shown on the monitor screen after 9 minutes.
The user is prompted to select
screen saver delay
of 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 3 hours. If the
user does not respond within 1 minute, the screen saver is activated and both monitors will go
black (i.e. the codec sends out a black image).
Once the remote control is touched (or any other activation of the system; such as an incoming
call), the screen saver will be switched off.
If the system is used for local presentation (i.e. not in a call), it is possible to delay the
screensaver prompt via the Quick Keys on the remote control (for 1 or 3 hours).
