Blind rivet nut or stud was not rived
and/ or not correctly riveted
Safety valve gets blown off
Excessive loss of oil from riveting
tool
Air bubbles in the hydraulic system
Loss of hydraulic oil due to leakage
Cause
Supply of compressed air is too rare
Stroke (H) is not correct
Oil deficiency
Compressed air pressure is too high
Valve is defective
Leaking and worn joints
O-ring is leaking
Not correctly vented/ bled
Defective O-rings in the riveting tool
Solution

) Check compressed air supply

) Set the air at the maintenance level of
6 bar
(

) If the operating pressure is o.k., send the
riveting tool for overhauling
(

) Readjust Stroke (H) (see page 19)

) Fill up the oil (see page 29)

) Check and adjust compressed air setting

) Replace safety valve

) Have trained specialists repair the riveting
tool or send it for overhauling
