2.1.b Connections
1. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to
the phone line socket on the bottom of the base
and the other end to a standard phone wall
outlet.
2. Connect the modular end of the AC power
adapter to the power socket on the bottom of
the base and plug the AC adapter into a
standard AC wall outlet.
3. Route the cords through
the routing grooves as shown.
! Wrong connections can seriously damage the base.
! Use only the genuine AC adapter provided with the
base

2.1 Installing the base
2.1.e Where installing the base
Install the base in a dry and dust-free location away
from direct sunlight and make sure that both power
and telephone outlets are available nearby. Choose a
location where relative humidity and temperature are
inside normal value for any electric appliances. Install
the base in an open location away from other electro-
nic devices which can create strong interferences (e.g.
computer, air conditioning systems, TV etc.)
! To avoid risks for people, or damages to the power
and telephone cables of the base, do not put anything
on them and don’t place the base where the cables be
walked on. If the cables become damaged or frayed,
contact the service center immediately.
! Place the base on a firm, solid surface. If you put it on
something unsteady, it may fall and be damaged.
Should you place the base on valuable furniture, place
a proper protection under the base.
! The base is designed for indoor use only
