Decommissioning
WARNING

Risk of burns!
Wait 20 minutes before disassembling until the enclosure has cooled.
1.
Refer to the EI Inverter manual to properly shut down the entire system.
2.
Make sure all disconnects and breakers connecting to the ATS are in the OFF position.
3.
Open the ATS door by inserting the key and rotating 90º to unlock both locks and
opening the latches.
4.
Remove all conductors entering the ATS, ensuring the exposed conductors are
protected/safe.
5.
Remove the conduit fittings.
6.
Lift the ATS enclosure off the wall and set aside.
7.
Unscrew the mounting bolts from the wall and remove from the wall.
Packing the ATS
When possible, pack the ATS in the original packaging and secure with tension belts.
If this is not an option, find an equivalent carton. This box must be capable of being completely
closed and constructed to support the weight and size of the ATS.
Storing the EI ATS
Store the inverter in a dry place where ambient temperatures do not exceed -13°F to 122°F (-
25°C
–
50°C).
Disposing of the ATS
Do not dispose of the ATS or accessories with household waste. Comply with local and
state regulations for disposing of electronic waste.
