Before using for the first time, remove the protective tab on the batteries. This device is designed to prevent the
risk of poisoning by detecting the presence of carbon monoxide coming from a combustion source (from a wood
burning fireplace, oil-fired stove, boiler, exhaust gas, etc.) in your home or any other environment (work place, for
example). However, the device can only provide a timely warning if the detector is installed and maintained as
described in these instructions.
This device is a carbon monoxide detector and cannot be used as a smoke or gas detector. It does not dispense
you from the need to have your chimney swept. Carbon monoxide is a dangerous, odourless and invisible gas. You
cannot notice its presence unless you install one or more detectors in strategic places around your home.
This carbon monoxide (CO) detector is designed for indoor use only.
Do not expose it to rain or moisture.
Do not open it, since this may cause a malfunction. It does not protect against the risk of carbon monoxide
poisoning if the battery is discharged.
Installing this detector does not dispense you from the need to ensure the proper installation, use and mainte
