Display range for CO concentration: 0 to 999PPM.
If CO < 20PPM -> display 0PPM
Si CO > 999PPM -> display 999PPM.
Display range for temperature: - 9 to +50°C.
If the CO concentration > 20PPM, the temperature display is disabled.
2/ CO detection alarm
When the device detects a dangerous level of CO, the alarm will ring loudly. The alarm signal is 4 beeps followed
by 2 seconds of silence, and the red ALARM light flashes. This cycle will repeat as long as the CO level is critical.
Alarm sensitivity according to EN 50291-1:2018:
30PPM: no alarm before 120 minutes
50PPM: alarm between 60 and 90 minutes
100PPM: alarm between 10 and 40 minutes
300PPM: alarm within 3 minutes.
Note
: PPM = Parts Per Million. For example 30 ppm = 0.003% of carbon monoxide in the air.
3/ TEST/SILENCE button
When the alarm on your device rings, press the
TEST/SILENCE
button to pause it for approximately 10 minutes.
The red
ALARM
light will flash, indicating that the unit is in silent mode.
The alarm will be reactivated 10 minutes later if the CO concentration is 50PPM or higher.
The alarm will shut off if the CO concentration is above 200PPM.
The
TEST/SILENCE
mode can only be activated once per CO detection period.
Caution
: before activating the
TEST/SILENCE
mode, first check that the alarm is ringing due to a dangerous level of CO.
4/ Low battery indicator
If the device gives off a beep every 40 seconds and the yellow DEFECT light is flashing, this indicates that the
batteries are low and the symbol will be displayed on the screen. Replace with the same type of batteries
(LR6/AA).
Note
: when the low battery symbol is displayed, the device may give off an alarm signal for at least 4 minutes if
CO is detected, otherwise it will display the low battery symbol for 30 days.
