VoIP Call Service
Symptoms
Descriptions / Remedial Actions
No tone when lifted the
handset off hook
Ensure the data connection has been established.
Ensure that the phone line is connected to the phone port of
the BDU.
Check with Service Provider to ensure that the VoIP service
is provisioned and activated.
Error message “Device is
not registered”
Ensure that the device is provided with ample setup time
after a power cycle for initialisation. Wait for about 10mins
for device registration process to be completed before trying
again.
Check with service provider to ensure that the device is
activated.
Distorted audio during
outgoing/incoming call
The audio may sound distorted when using phones set with
high volume. Please lower the volume of the phone in such
situation.
Please temporarily disconnect any data connection since
high throughput may affect the quality of the audio.
Hang up and retry the call again.
