T-Cube NanoTrak Autoalignment Controller
This means that in order to locate maximum power, the piezo is moving the stage
more to the right. But, the circle is near the edge of the screen, which also indicates
that the piezo is near the limit of its travel to the right; the associated piezo driver will
show about 73V (148V for a 150V piezo). This means that the piezo actuator must be
recentered, and the position offset taken up by manual adjustment.
12)Adjust the Y- an d Z-axis manual actuators as necessary to kee p the piezos
around the mid-range position, i.e. for a 75V piezo, the piezo driver displays 37.5V
and the GUI shows the circle in the center of the display.
13)The position of peak power is located when a stable power reading is displayed
on the Range and Signal bars and the circle shows a stable piezo position.
14)Adjust the Y- and Z-axis manual actuators as necessary to return the piezos to the
mid-range position (i.e. circle in center of display.
15)Optimize the power reading by adjusting the X-axis manual actuator to bring the
fiber tips closer together. The RANGE and SIGNAL bars should show significant
increase in the power level.
Note
If the circle reaches the edge of the display, this means that the piezo
actuators cannot move far enough to reach the position of maximum
power. The horizontal and vertical actuators should be adjusted to bring
the circle away from the edge of the screen.
If the circle tends to drift, increase the scan circle diameter, if the circle
tends to oscillate, decrease the scan circle diameter.
