3.1.2 Piezo Actuators
Piezoelectric actuators have been developed for optical and fiber-optical applications,
to provide linear motions up to 100 µm – see Table 3.2 and Fig. 3.4.

Note . The push blocks fitted to the linear stage use drive ball type end fittings. If the
actuator is to be used with stages by other manufacturers, the actuator tip should be
replaced with one compatible with the push block – see Table 3.3.
