Chapter 3 Installation

A range of objective adapters are available separately as detailed below.

3.4.1 Angular Rotation

Certain  microscopes  can  operate  with  the  objective  rotated  such  that  it  is  not

perpendicular with the vertical plane. It is recommended that he PFM450 piezo mount

is  operated  with  a  pitch  rotation.  Yaw  rotation  (as  shown  below)  is  possible  with

certain limitations - contact tech support for more details.

Caution

Due to its inherent capacitance, movement or vibration of the cable may affect

the stability of the stage. Where possible, arrange the cable in such a way to

minimize movement and vibration while the stage is in operation.
