5 Maintenance and Service

Protect the CLD101x from adverse weather conditions. The CLD101x is not water resistant.

Attention

To avoid damage to the instrument, do not expose it to spray, liquids or solvents!

The unit does not need a regular maintenance by the user. It does not contain any modules and/or
components that could be repaired by the user himself. If a malfunction occurs, please contact
Thorlabs for return instructions.

Do not remove covers!

5.1 Version Information

All available information on the CLD101x is displayed at power up and can be retrieved from the

Information menu

as well:

5.2 Firmware Upgrade

For a firmware update, a newer firmware image (file extension *.dfu) and the DFU Wizard to
upload this firmware to the CLD101x are required. Please download the firmware image and
remember the location you have saved it to.

5.2.1 Uploading new Firmware

As a next step, enable the Firmware Update in the CLD101x :

Then connect the CLD101x to the PC via the USB cable. The operating system recognizes a DFU
capable device and installs the necessary driver software:
