Troubleshooting

Check to see if the filter basket is inserted or inserted correctly.

Refer to “Cleaning after each use” to clean the coffee bean chute

and plug the power cord into the power socket again.

Please  return  the  machine  to  an  authorized  service  centre  or

similarly qualified personnel for checking or repair.

The choked grinder has solid substances lodged between the

upper and lower burrs (refer to Cleaning and Maintenance of the
Grinder). Plug the power cord in.

Frequent use of the grinding function has caused the overheating

protection of the motor to activate. (Wait for the motor to cool down
before plugging the power cord in again.)

Check to see if the protective lid is assembled correctly. If so,

please plug the power cord in again.

Troubleshooting

The appliance
does not work

Make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance

corresponds to the local mains voltage.

Is the power cord plugged completely into the power socket?

Insufficient  coffee  beans.  Please  put  enough  coffee  beans

that corresponds to your settings.

Excessive coffee beans would cause the beans not to be able to

fall through. Remove some beans and stir the remaining beans.

The grinder is choked up. Please refer to 6.2 Cleaning and

Maintenance of the grinder.

Make sure that the number of cups you select with the 2-10

ups button is consistent with the amount of water in the water

reservoir. Please keep in mind that the machine uses up all the

water in the reservoir.

Adjust the coffee amount until “+1” or “+2”.

Use coffee beans with strong flavours.

When I use pre-ground

coffee,the coffee

is too weak.

The filter

overflows from

the filter basket

while coffee is

brewing.

When I use the

grinder,the coffee

Make sure that the amount of pre-ground coffee in the filter

is consistent with the amount of water in the reservoir. Please
keep in mind that the machine uses up all the water in the reservoir..

Use ground coffee of a stronger blend or flavour. To increase

the coffee strength, increase the amount of pre-ground coffee
or reduce the amount of water.

Check if the filter paper or the permanent filter has been placed

in. (Note: Put only one filter paper. The filter paper or the permanent

filter cannot be used at the same time.)

Check if the permanent filter is choked up.

Use pre-ground coffee that is suitable for drip-stop grinding.

Too much fine grinding will cause a choke especially when

using the permanent filter.

Check if the jug is placed correctly. Did you forget to place

the lid, which would cause the drip-stop function not to work?

Check if the filter baske is placed correctly. Did you forget

to place the lid, which would cause the drip-stop function not

to work?

If the jug is removed for more than 20 seconds during brewing,

the  drip-stop  valve  would  cause  coffee  to  overflow  from

the filter cup.

The filter

overflows from

the jug while

coffee is

brewing.

Please do not fill the water beyond the “Max” level.

Please make sure that the jug you place is empty.
