Locate the 1/2" OD tubing with the nut, grab
ring, back up ring and o-ring on the free end,
and attach it to the elbow on the top of the
membrane.
K. Connect the free end of the 3/8" OD tubing
located on the rear of the outlet cell well locat-
ed at the top of the unit to the 3/8" OD tubing
adapter located on the top center of the mem-
brane.
L. Connect the 1/2" OD tubing located on the
bottom of the unit to the 1/2" OD tubing
adapter located on the bottom of the
membrane.
M. Replace the cabinet and top cover.
Prefilter
Installation/Replacement
Prefilters
These devices are string-wound filters designed to pre-
vent large particulates from entering the ULTROpure
system.
Install the prefilter as follows:
1. Remove filter and adapters from package.
2. Open the access door by rotating the knob on
the front. Remove the canister from the head
by pressing the thumb lever and rotating the
ring 1/4 turn to the left.
3. Lubricate the o-rings on the adapters using
water, then install the adapters into the filter
by turning the adapter as you push it into the
filterʼs open end.
Note
This tubing is attached to the pump
outlet.
Caution
Do not tighten tube adapter hex nut
with a wrench. Tight connections can
be easily made by hand. However,
white tubing must be tightened 1/4 turn
with a wrench after hand-tightening to
prevent leakage.
Note
If you are replacing the prefilter, make
sure the ULTROpure is shut off and
the power disconnected. Allow the
Prefilter Inlet Pressure, Prefilter Outlet
Pressure and Membrane Pressure to
drop to “0” before attempting to
remove the prefilter.
Warning
Depressurize system prior to
attempting to remove canister.
