6. Reconnect the centrifuge once the power has been restored.
7. Switch on the centrifuge.
WARNING
Serious injuries can occur if you touch a spinning rotor with your hands
or tools. A rotor can still be spinning after a power failure occurs. Do not
open the centrifuge before the rotor has stopped spinning. Do not touch
a spinning rotor. Never use your hands or tools to stop a spinning rotor.
5. 2. Ice Formation
Warm humid air in combination with a cold centrifugation chamber can lead to formation
of ice. To remove the ice from the centrifugation chamber, proceed as follows:
1. Open the centrifuge lid.
2. Remove the rotor. Refer to
"How to remove a rotor" on page 47
3. Let the ice melt.
NOTICE
Do not use any sharp tools, aggressive liquids or fire to fasten the melting process.
If necessary use warm water to speed up the melting process.
