e-boxes
If a unit is supplied with a Thermo Scientific e-box, and a Mettler
Toledo
™
load cell display, the integrator will receive the load cell signal
through the 16-pin communication cable. Depending on the type of
load cell display terminal ordered, the type of signal will be:
• Analog 4-20 mA
• AB RIO
• Profibus
• Device net
• Modbus
Analog 4-20 mA is the most common method of communication for the
load cells.
Table 5.2 shows the pins used for load cell communication on the 16-
pin cable.
