Dionex ICS-900 Installation
Checklist
Unpacked the Dionex ICS-900; checked for
damage and verified that all items were
received
Connected the autosampler (if used)
Installed the software, the USB dongle (if
used), and the software license
Connected the USB cable
Connected the power cord
Turned on the power to the PC, the Dionex
ICS-900, and the AS Autosampler (if
installed)
Installed the Dionex ICS-900 device driver
Created a timebase and configured devices
Connected to the Chromeleon panel tabset
Verified that the correct regenerant bottle
assembly was received:
•
For anion analyses, the cap is labeled
ANION
and the
REGEN BOTTLE OUT
line
extends to the bottom of the bottle
•
For cation analyses, the cap is labeled
CATION
and the
REGEN BOTTLE OUT
line
extends only about 1 cm (0.4 in) into the
bottle
Prepared the eluent and regenerant
Connected the bottle lines to the Dionex
ICS-900
Hydrated the suppressor
Set up the waste lines; verified that the black
DCR waste backpressure tubing is installed
on the
REGEN OUT
line
Primed the pump
Flushed the system, guard column, and
separator column
Installed the columns and suppressor
Connected the backpressure coils; verified
that the correct type and number are installed
Filled the regenerant line
Equilibrated the system
