2. Install the two washers on the evaporator end of the
fan shaft.
3. Install the wave washer on the evaporator end of
the fan shaft.
4. Install the other bearing on the evaporator end of
the fan shaft (with the washers between the two
bearings).
5. Install the snap ring on the evaporator end of the
fan shaft.
6. Use a wire brush in the machined bore in the
evaporator end of the housing to remove oxide and
other contaminants.

Use Wire Brush to Clean Bore
7. Clean the machined bore in the evaporator end of
the housing and the outer races of the bearings on
the evaporator end of the fan shaft with Loctite 7063
cleaner. The cleaner needs to be sprayed on, wiped
down and then allowed to evaporate dry.

8. Apply Loctite 7240 (activator) to the machined bore
(inner surface) in the evaporator end of the housing
and allow it to dry by evaporation.

9. Apply a bead of Loctite 603 to the leading edge of
the machined bore in the evaporator end of the
housing and to the outer races of the bearings on
