4.7.2 Oven Lamp and Bulb Removal, Replacement, and
Diagnostics

The oven lamp is located inside each oven cavity (see Figure 145).
Access is needed from both the front and back of the range in order to
replace the oven lamp, however replacing just the bulb only requires
access from the front of the range.
NOTE:
The bulb can be replaced without replacing the lamp
assembly. Refer to the Use and Care manual for the bulb type.

4. Remove oven door (see
Oven Door Removal, Installation,
NOTE:
It is recommended to remove the door, to prevent weight
or force applied from damaging the door and latch components.
5. Remove the oven trays.
6. From the back of the range, detach the lamp wire connectors.
7. From inside the oven cavity, remove and retain the screw that
holds the lamp onto the oven cavity (see Figure 145, page 74).
8. Remove the fixing clip and lens of the oven lamp assembly.
9. Replace the bulb if needed.
Fiberglass Insulation
Wear gloves when handling fiberglass insulation.
10. From the back of the range, while wearing gloves, clear a path in
the fiber glass insulation so the lamp wire connectors can be
pulled through the sensor portal.
11. From the front of the range, gently pull the lamp connector wires
through the sensor portal.
12. Replace the lamp if needed.
