you could start to create iSCSI target to join created iSCSI thin-provision volume.
Basically the iSCSI target under iSCSI thin-provision has exactly same setting
screen as standard iSCSI target volume creation, the only difference is “Virtual Size”
of capacity.
Unlike standard iSCSI target volume been created, the capacity is physically been
allocated. The iSCSI target volume creation under thin-provision is virtually up to
16000GB (16TB).
Let’s take example below for more illustration:
1.
The physical size for iSCSI thin-provision volume is 333.88GB, you may refer the
screen shot above.
2.
The iSCSI target volume under thin-provision start with 333.38GB in physical
size and you may use mouse to drag the virtual size for it needed. The maximum
virtual size is up to 16000GB.
3.
In this case if you make the iSCSI target volume is 1700GB then the virtual size
is available fro next iSCSI target volume under thin-provision is 14300GB
(16000-1700).
4.
Till the 5 iSCSI target volumes under thin-provision or the virtual size 16000GB
has run out when ever it comes first to reach its limitation.
iSCSI Thin-provision physical size start with 333.8GB
The virtual capacity is limited to 16000GB
