If you are within range (up to 600’ away) you can use a TextAlert Remote to perform certain
functions.
Each remote has three buttons: Blue, Red, and Yellow. In the software, you can assign any
function you want to any of these buttons.
If you pry the remote control case open, remove the battery and then the circuit board. On the
back of the circuit board you will find a set of 12 small dipswitches.
In the image on your screen you will see that there are 3 remote tabs each with a Blue, Red
and Yellow button. In total then, you can have TextAlert respond in 9 different ways to different
remote button functions. Typically you would carry a remote (ie. Remote 1) on your key ring
to perform daily functions and you may configure two other remotes, with different dipswitch
settings, to perform other functions. In the image below the potential settings:
Arm, Disarm,
Toggle, Pause,
and
Panic
can be selected. When you select an option, a set of different
options will appear.
As you move the dipswitches you will need to push through the thin film.
This will not cause any problems.
