10. IRONING
1.
Seize the iron by the cork handle and press the micro-switch of the iron (fig. 7)
4-5 times so that steam comes out. This is necessary in order to warm the hoses and avoid water
dripping from the iron.
2.
Start ironing by pressing micro-switch of the iron (fig. 7), activating steaming. As a result, the
fibers of the ironed element are damped. Release the micro-switch to smoothen all creases. For
a good result, set the thermostat (fig. 6) on
“cotton”.
3.
For delicate, black or blue garments we suggest to use the anti-shine shoe.
4.
During ironing, always put the iron on its rubber rest (fig. 1) and pay attention to the position of
the wires: if they twine or get in touch with the ironing board, they might cause short circuits.
5.
For dry ironing it is possible to adjust the thermostat (fig. 6) on various positions according to the
type of fabric (check garment label). For steam ironing, set the thermostat on “cotton” or “flax”.
6.
It is advisable to replace the padding (fig. 1) as soon as the vacuum of the ironing board is
unsatisfactory or when the padding presents some marks or rings of water.
11. REFILLING OF THE WATER TANK
It is possible to fill the water tank at any time, even when the boiler is functioning. Lift the water plug
and add water, paying attention not to spill it onto the machine (fig. 3). Water is required when the
intermittent warning “WATER” appears and the sound alarm signal switches on (chapter 7).
It is suggested to immediately add water once the sound alarm signal switches on. This avoids the
drop of pressure and therefore it is not necessary to wait for water heating.
12. REPLACEMENT OF COVER
After a certain number of hours the machine will signal that the board cover needs to be replaced.
This procedure must be carried out ONLY when the boiler and ironing board are cold and
disconnected from the mains.
Note: it is possible to wash the cover.
ATTENTION: It is necessary to reset the hour-counter (see chapter 6) every time the cover is
replaced. This will permit its correct functioning.
Note:
The “CHANGE COVER” warning timing is based on an average use of the ironing board.
However, the wear and tear also depends on how ironing is done. It may therefore be necessary to
replace it even earlier, especially if vacuum/blowing performances have diminished.
