Once the auger is assembled, it should be free to move by hand. If it is not, check the plastic spacer
plate to make sure you put them on in the correct direction. The auger screw can be adjusted to move
it in or out for screw engagement. If turning the chute handle cause the screw to jump over the chute
teeth move the auger screw in by unloosing the support bracket screw and pushing it in.
STEP 7 Adjustments
Traction drive
Do not engage the auger drive for this test. The drive cables will need to be adjusted for proper
traction and impeller loading. The turnbuckles in STEP 3 need to be turned until there is no slack in
the cables. The cables must
in emergency situations, trigger the dead man lever, once the
handles are released.
Ensure that no people, around the machine. Put the auger up against a step
and start the engine once the cables have been adjusted. The step will stop the snow blower from
moving if the cables are too tight. Now pull on the traction drive deal man lever. The wheels should
spin. Do not engage the auger drive for this test. If the wheels do not spin, tighten up the turnbuckle.
Make sure the snow blower does not move when the lever is released.
Auger drive
The auger drive turnbuckles need to be turned until the slack is out of the cables. The auger must stop
when the engine is running and the dead man lever is released. Run the snow blower through the
snow. If the engine still has power and the auger stops driving tighten up the turnbuckle. Always make
sure the auger comes to a complete stop when the dead man lever is released.
Turning ability
Most of the time you will find you will want both wheels driving for traction purposes. However, when
you are moving the snow blower around, you will find it easier to maneuver with one wheel
disengaged. The turning ability can be changed by inserting the axle pin in an alternative hole. On the
left side axle there are two holes in the axle. It the pin is inserted into the out board hole and not
through the wheel hub the machine can easily be turned and maneuvered. When you are ready for full
traction again simply insert the pin through the wheel hub and inboard axle hole for dual wheel
traction.
Emergency stop
Release the dead man levers and shut off the engine switch.
Snow knife
To prevent the machine from damage and to control the discharging snow from the auger opening in
heavy snow or snowdrifts, please use the included snow knifes. Mount the knifes (22) onto the auger
house using the manual nut (23) and bolts (24)
OPERATION
Important!
You must fill up with engine oil and fuel before you can start the engine.
Check the fuel and engine oil levels and top up it necessary
Make sure that the spark plug cap is secured to the spark plug
