There are numerous parameters in the menu functions, which complicate or even prevent normal operation if set incor-
rectly. If your receiver is acting unusual, you can restart the device:
1. Push the button

" " on the device.
2. Wait for fi ve seconds.
3. Push the button

" " again.
If this doesn’t help, you can reset the receiver to the factory settings. As a result, parameters such as speaker size or level
are reset to the standard values (see "Menu System" on page 16).
Problem

No or distorted music
playback.
The fi les on the data storage device are
not in MP3 or WMA format.
Delete fi les with the wrong format.
File damaged.
Delete or skip the fi le.
Remote control is not work-
ing.
No line of sight between the remote con-
trol and the device.
Remove any obstacles.
The remote control is not pointed properly. Point the remote control at the device.
Batteries inserted in the remote control with
wrong polarity.
Insert the batteries the right way around (see
diagram on the battery compartment).
Batteries in the remote control are empty.
Insert new batteries.
Care and cleaning
Clean your receiver regularly with a soft, slightly damp
microfi bre cloth. Please note the following carefully:

In contact with live parts, water can lead to
electric shock or short circuit.
Ensure that no liquid penetrates the unit.

Disconnect the device from the mains power supply

before cleaning.

Risk of damage!
Using the wrong cleaning materials may dam-
age the delicate surface of the case.
If possible use only plain water with no cleaning pro-

ducts. In case of stubborn marks, a mild soap solution
may be used.
In no circumstances should caustic cleaning products,

white spirit, thinners, petrol or similar be used for
cleaning.
How to clean your DVDs/CDs/BDs
Only use cleaners intended for CDs to
clean your CDs .
If necessary wipe the CD off with a
soft, lint-free cloth, from the middle
to the outside. In the process, hold
the CD between the index fi nger and
thumb of your other hand .
Touching the play side of the CD
with your hand may cause playback
problems.
