Recharging rechargeable battery pack
Rechargeable battery pack should be completely recharged prior to initial operation.
Recharging during operation is not possible.
· The instrument must be switched off.
· The rechargeable battery pack must be inserted in the Control Unit.
Plug in mains unit to Control Unit.
- Recharge status is shown in the Control Unit display.
An empty rechargeable battery needs approx. 5.5 hours for complete recharging.
4.3 Setting up the bus connection
Batteries or rechargeable batteries must be inserted in the Control Unit in order to be
able to set up the databus connection.
Every logger has a default bus address with which the Control Unit can identify the
logger. If several loggers are attached to each other, it can happen that two loggers
have the same address. Always only attach one logger and first check the address.
Change the address if necessary.
-> See 5.1.1 Setting the bus address on page 32
Direct connection of components (Control Unit and analyser box)
.
1 Place Control Unit on the contact strips of the analyser box.
2 Press Control Unit to analyser box until they click into place.
Connecting the components using the databus cable
.
Insert data bus cable into the connection sockets of the Control Unit and analyser
box.
Please only use Testo databus cables.
When laying the cables, please ensure that they are not laid near high-voltage cables.
4.4 System check: Control Unit and analyser box
4.4.1 Connecting probes
Probes are only recognised by the Control Unit if they are connected prior to switch-
on.
Connect flue gas probe to analyser.
4.4.2 Switching on
Press
to switch on Control Unit.
· The zeroing phase is complete and temperature measurement is run.
The instrument checks the zero point and drift of the gas sensors. The O2 sensor is set
to 21%, O2.
If a separate ambient air probe is not connected, the temperature measured during the
zeroing phase of the thermocouple in the flue gas probe is used. All dependent variables
are calculated with this value.
Please ensure that there are no gases such as CO, NO... present in the ambient air.
