7.2 Choosing a relative base length
There are two base lengths available for measu-
ring inclined surfaces, i.e.:
– « true base length »
– « relative base length »
The
true base length
may be the length of the
measuring faces or the distance between two
resting faces that serve for positioning the ins-
trument on the surface to be checked. TESA
CLINOBEVEL 2 features a 150 mm true base
length, which is the length of each measuring
face on the instrument body.
– Fixed set « Relative base length »
– 0,01 mm pro m
– 0,001 mm pro m
– 0.0001 in pro 10 in
– 0.0001 in pro 12 in
To select any of these 4 options, report to chap-
ter 7.1 – « Selecting measurement unit ».
– Selectable « Relative base length »
– 0,01 mm per base length x in mm
– 0,01 mm per base length x in mm
– 0.0001 in per base length x in in
To set the selected base length, follow the pro-
cedure below.
The
relative base length
is a common length
such as 1000 mm or 10 in used for reading the
amount of tilt on the display, which is calculated
over the true base length.
TESA CLINOBEVEL 2 allows you to select « In-
clination » as the relative base lengths are being
displayed. To do so, proceed as follows:
