Absolute zero point setting by rotary measurement
This setting is based on a stable, highly reliable
and moreover, free of charge measuring base
– the centre of the earth. Gravitation is used to
measure the position of the pendulum against
the measuring faces mounted on the instrument
body.
6.2 Initial display setting on the centre of gravity through a reverse measurement
For this operation, two measurements are taken
at the same spot but in opposite di-rections
whilst display is being set. This is called a « re-
verse measurement ».
